From Russia with Love

The entire Obama family arrived in Moscow yesterday. POTUS and family visited the Kremlin and then spent the evening at Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s residence in Gorki, outside Moscow.

This trip marks the younger  Obamas’ second international trip with their father (earlier in the summer they went to Paris).  POTUS told ABC that Sasha looked like Agent 99 walking down the halls of the Kremlin with her trench coat on. “She just looked like she knew where she was going,” Obama said. “I thought she was going to pull out her shoe phone.” Do they make such phones in her size?

Speaking of first kids, the Obamas got to meet Medvedev’s teenaged son; making them among the very few to have met or even seen him. According to the AP, the one or two photographs that have appeared in the Russian press have not shown his face and and very little is known about him (including where he goes to school).  I take it that toy companies are not trying to make little Illya dolls. Must be nice to be out of the public eye.
